What We Teach
Our Youth and Family Ministry education is based on the 5 Unity Principles. We present the basic teachings of Jesus Christ and the practical application of the teachings in everyday life. We have a safe, nurturing, fun environment.
Our focus is to celebrate the inner Christ in each of us, teachers as well as students. We reach for the light through prayer, meditation, and affirmation. Stories, songs, drama, and art activities are designed to help children learn that each of us is a “radiant child of God.”

5 Unity Principles
Adapted for Children and Teens: |
- God is all good and active in everything everywhere.
- I am naturally good, because God’s divinity is in me and in everyone.
- I create my experiences by what I choose to think and what I feel and believe.
- Through affirmative prayer and meditation, I connect with God and bring out the good in my life.
- I do and give my best by living the Truth I know.

Opportunities Abound!
Your child will have excellent opportunities to explore his or her spiritual development.
She or he will experience unique opportunities to develop leadership qualities, spend time interacting with caring adults and peers, and learn by experience and inspiration the freedom that comes with living the way of Truth in life. |

Child of Light |
|
Child of Light, I bless you.
I think of you, I pray for you,
not in terms of what I think you need or
what I think you should do or be or express.
I lift up my thoughts about you.
I catch a new vision for you.
I see you as a child of light.
I see you guided and directed by an
inward Spirit that leads you unerringly
into the path that is right for you.
I see you strong and whole;
I see you blessed and prospered;
I see you courageous and confident;
I see you capable and successful.
I see you free from limitation
or bondage of any kind.
I see you as the spiritually perfect
Being you truly are.
Child of Light, I bless you! |
YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
VOLUNTEERS
for Children and Teens
If you love children and are ready to grow and learn, we have many opportunities in our Youth & Family Ministry. If you are not available to teach or assist on a weekly basis, it’s okay. We have a team approach to making a difference in the lives of our children and teens. For example, you could serve snacks or create an art project. We also offer the opportunity in summer to “Share Your Joy” by sharing a talent or project for one hour on one Sunday. (Our single service is at 10:00 am in summer.) We are here to offer a positive, uplifting experience for children of all ages, from baby and toddler to high school.

“Our mission is not to entertain the children, but to call them out. To be ‘called out’ is to follow the harmonious laws of the soul’s unfoldment.”
— Myrtle Fillmore |
