Our Ministerial Team

Our philosophy of shared leadership includes having a Ministerial Team instead of one Senior Minister. Our Ministerial Team is responsible for the general management and spiritual direction of our organization. The team serves as part of our Board of Trustees and meets weekly with our Shared Leadership Team which includes staff, volunteer leaders, and several representatives from the Board.

Rev. Sherry Lady: Sherry has been a member of Unity of the Valley since 1986. After a 30-year career in education, she was ordained through the Unity School for Religious Studies. Sherry served as Senior Minister at Unity of Ashland for 7 years. Prior to joining with Inge and Jon to form our current Ministerial Team, she served as our Associate Minister, YFM Director, Adult Education Coordinator, and as our drama director.

Rev. Inge Tarantola: Inge was born and raised in Germany.  After a career in accounting, she found her passion for ministry. Unity of the Valley became her spiritual home in 1988. Inge served on our Board of Trustees and as Director of our Prayer Ministry and Taize Healing Prayer Ministry. In 2000, she pioneered a new Unity church in Roseburg. She became an Associate Minister here in 2012 before helping to form our Ministerial Team in 2013.

Jon West: A 1987 graduate of the U of O, Jon was Unity of the Valley’s Music Director or Co-Director with his wife Donna O’Neil for nearly two decades. Throughout that time, he also worked in disability services, including as a nonprofit director for 10 years. After being ordained in 2001 by another religious organization, Jon served for 3 years as the Spiritual Leader of Unity of Florence before helping to form our current Ministerial Team.

Laura DuBois: Laura has worked closely with our Ministerial Team as our Music Director since 2015. As a result of her acceptance onto the ordination path through Unity Worldwide Ministries and of her heartfelt service to our community in ways that far exceed her musical role, Laura formally became a Ministerial Team Member by unanimous vote at the September 2025 meeting of our Board of Trustees.
